Kingman has a wide variety of television programming available. Over the air stations have a strong signal due to the broadcast tower being placed high on a mountain over-looking the entire city. It is just one of 55 translators located throughout the incorporated and rural areas of the county.
Mohave County Television District provides free service to those with antennaes. It was formed in 1983 as a free service to residents of the county who otherwise could not receive television service.
The translators are licensed through the Federal Communications Commission and rebroadcast authority granted from stations located in Phoenix, Prescott, Kingman and Las Vegas, Nevada There are also cable and satellite options available. |
